Eurydice

Eurydice is one of my favourite pieces. It holds a very special place in my heart. It is the product of 'a happy accident'. It can be frustrating in the studio at times, the story of this piece always makes me relax. I accidently knocked my glass of red wine over this piece which was still drying on the floor as I was preparing for a big show. I was wrapping my work ready to go to the framers, It was due to go also. I figured I had ruined it, I was really upset. I scrapped as much of it off as I could, but before I had called it a night I felt that maybe I'd have to be one piece short.I was delighted to discover in the morning that the wine had dried into the painting and created this gorgeous depth of colour. It was very striking. It was also the first painting sold at my show.

Eurydice is part of The Red Dot Collection. The original has been sold, however prints are available in a range of sizes and formats.
